Representative of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the Kingdom of Thailand sent a letter of thanks to General Representative of "TRANSAERO" airlines Mr. Dmitry Erzakhovich for constant assistance provided for St. Nicholas' parish in Bangkok, prayerfully wishing him all the blessings and God's help.

The Representative of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in Thailand hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) has returned to Thailand from his business trip to Moscow.

Representative of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the Kingdom of Thailand hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) safely returned to Thailand after his business trip to Moscow. Since Sunday, 24 of August, divine service on St. Nicholas' parish in Bangkok will be continued by the usual routine: on weekdays at 7.00 AM and 7:00 PM, on Sundays - at 7.00 AM, at 9.30 AM - Divine Liturgy, and at 7 PM.

A blessing of His Eminence Kirill has been received to publish the book "Christianity in Thailand" by hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin).

A blessing of His Eminence Kirill, Metropolitan of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Chairman of Department for External Church Relationships of Moscow Patriarchate was received to publish a book by hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) «Christianity in Thailand». The publication will be timed to 10 years anniversary of our church presence in the Kingdom of Thailand. The edition will be published in Russian.

There has been an appointment in Moscow with hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) and His Eminence Kirill, Metropolitan of Smolensk and Kaliningrad.

His Eminence Kirill, Metropolitan of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Chairman of Department for External Church Relationships of Moscow Patriarchate, and hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) met in Moscow to discuss a wide range of questions concerning Orthodoxy's activities in Thailand and its developmental prospects. His Eminence accepted with gratitude the invitation of his faithful in South-East Asia to visit Thailand next year on the occasion of celebrating 10 years anniversary of our church presence in the country. His Eminence stated that he would personally visit all Orthodox communities in Thailand in order to have better understanding of the daily wants of Orthodox believers.

Russian-Thai book of prayer has come into the market.

«Orthodox book of prayer» (size: 10х18 cm), which contains the essential Orthodox prayers (morning, evening, before and after the Communion), came into the market today. The text is written parallelly in Russian and Thai. Published by Representation of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in Thailand and Foundation of Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand by the blessing of His Eminence Kirill, Metropolitan of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Chairman of External Church Relationships Department.

There has been a meeting of Representative of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in Thailand with members of parochial council of All Saints' parish of Pattaya.

Representative of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the Kingdom of Thailand hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) alongside with members of Parish council of St. Nicholas' parish of Bangkok visited the city of Pattaya (Chonburi province). A meeting of hegumen Oleg and members of Parish council of the parish In the Name of All Saints in Pattaya took place. Organization of divine serving and parish activity in Pattaya and other economic and financial questions were discussed. Representation of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the Kingdom of Thailand thanks Chairman of Parish council of parish In the Name of All Saints in Pattaya Mr. Mikhail Olegovich Ilyin, CEO of tourist company «Ilves Tour», for hospitality and for covering the expenses of organizing this visit.

A session of the Committee of Orthodox Church in Thailand Foundation took place. A question of affirming the rules of educational grants assignment and help giving to needy categories of citizens was discussed.

After Divine Liturgy in Representation of Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand there have been a joint session of the Committee of Foundation of Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand and Parish Council of St. Nicholas' Chapel of Bangkok.

A question concerning the approval of standardized regulations of assigning educational grants and providing social finacial aid to needy categories of citizens was examined. According to the treasurer of the Foundation of Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand Mrs. Kurlap (Kira) Wongsurin-Trostinskiy, the necessity of setting strict parameters for those payments is dictated by Foundation of Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand's receipt of special-purpose donations, which, according to civic legislature of the Kingdom and regulations of the Foundation, can not be used for other purposes. In the end of the discussion two documents were approved: «Rules of assigning educational grants» and «Rules of financial aid for social needs». The Committee of Foundation of Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand addressed to Representation of Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand so that Foundation would inform the diplomatic representations of Orthodox countries accredited in Thailand about the rules for financial aid for social needs because in relation to foreigners this aid is provided for Orthodoxes in the first place.

The Representative of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in Thailand hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) will be on business trip to Russia on 12-24 of August, 2008.

Representative of Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the Kingdom of Thailand and rector of St. Nicholas' chapel of Bangkok hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) will be on his business trip to Russia from 12 of August to 24 of August 2008. On 22 of August 2008 at 15.00 hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin)'s audience with His Eminence Kirill, Metropolitan of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Chairman of External Church Relationships Department, is planned, where various aspects of Representation's activity in Thailand will be examined, especially in connection with the prospects of Orthodox Church in Thailand's development, that appeared after receiving state registration. On the score of hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin)'s absence on parish, psalom reader Dr. Vladimir Buntilov will be temporarily responsible for conduction of daily divine service in chapel.

The altar assistant of St. Nicholas' Chapel in Bangkok Mr. Iulian Raicea has departed for Beijing (China) today for taking part in Olympic games.

Mr. Iulian Raicea Altar assistant of St. Nicholas' chapel of Bangkok Mr.Iulian Raicea***, a well-known Romanian sportsman, bronze medal winner of the Olympics in Sydney, Australia, and a repeated prize winner of world shooting contests, departured for Beijing (China) today for participating in Olympic tour, where he represents his motherland - Romania, and works as a coach for olympic national team of Thailand as well. This kind of situation is totally unique as in the history of Olympics there never was a sportsman performing for one country and being a coach for another country's national team. This demonstrates how Thailand trusts Mr. Iulian Raicea.
For that occurrence a parting moleben was serviced in St. Nicholas' chapel where the faithful prayed for divine blessing for Iulian to gain new sports victories. After the moleben the rector of the chapel hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin) addressed to the faitful, noting that Mr. Iulian Raicea was not only the represantative of Romania on that prestigious sports forum, but also a representative of Orthodox Church in Thailand. In response speech Mr.Iulian Racia thanked hegumen Oleg and the faithful of the chapel for prayer support and kind words, saying that he relied upon God's will, and asked others to pray for him. After the moleben there was a joint breakfast. Later Iulian was accompanied to the airport by the parishioners.

***Mr.Iulian Raicea was born on 04 of March, 1973 in Bucharest, Romania.
Since 12, at his father's insistence, he has been practising sport pistol shooting. Prize winner of 2000 Olympics and various world pistol shooting contests.
At present he is doing work of obidience of altar assistant and reader in the chapel of St. Nicholas, Wonder-Worker, Archbishop of Mira in Lycia in Bangkok, and, by the invitation of shooting federation of Thailand, is training the Olympic national team of the Kingdom for participation in Olympic Games in Beijing (China).

The meeting of Mrs. Elena Wanna - the spouse of Chairman of Orthodox Church in Thailand Foundation Mr. Danai (Daniel) Wanna.

Danai and Elena Wanna Today Orthodox Church in Thailand warmly welcomed Mrs. Elena Wanna, the spouse of the Chairman of the Committee of Foundation of Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand, Mr. Danai (Daniel) Wanna, the first Orthodox Thai, who graduated from St. Petersburg Theological Seminary and is now preparing to be ordained.
At times the will of people's fate is surprising. Elena Evdokimova (Wanna) was a precentor in the chapel of St. Leontius in Yaroslavl. Danai Wanna was studying at St. Petersburg's Theological Seminary. On 9 of May, 2008 their acquaintance leaded to church wedding ceremony. They were married by Representative of Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand hegumen Oleg (Cherepanin), rector of St. Nicholas' parish in Bangkok, who came to Yaroslavl specially for that purpose because Danai was his adherent.
Danai and Elena Wanna Now happy newlyweds are going to serve for the Divine Church in Danai's motherland - Thailand.
In expectation of the Supreme Authority of the Russian Orthodox Church's decision on his ordination, Mr. Danai Wanna, as well as being Chairman of the Foundation of Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand's Committee, will be translating «The Law of God» of Seraphim Slobodskiy into Thai. Elena Wanna will do obedience work as a chapel master in Bangkok.
With the blessing of V. Rev Oleg (Cherepanin) and by the decision of St. Nicholas' Chapel of Bangkok's Parish Council, as a wedding present from Orthodox Church in Thailand, the newlyweds were given the opportunity to spend a fortnight in the islands as an ending of their honeymoon.
